This dataset can be linked to the NHDPlus version 2 data suite by the unique identifier COMID. The source data was from 30 Year (1990 - 2019) Annual Average Difference between Precipitation Potential Evapotranspiration (Wieczorek, 2023). Units are millimeters. Reach catchment information characterizes data at the local scale. Reach catchments accumulated upstream through the river network characterizes cumulative upstream conditions. Network-accumulated values are computed using two methods, 1) divergence-routed and 2) total cumulative drainage area. Both approaches use a modified routing database to navigate the NHDPlus reach network to aggregate (accumulate) the metrics derived from the reach catchment scale. (Schwarz and Wieczorek, 2018).",

+ "description": "Clouds often come in contact with vegetation (often named fogs) within a certain elevation range on Hawai‘i’s mountains. Propelled by strong winds, cloud droplets are driven onto the stems and leaves of plants where they are deposited. Some of the water that accumulates on the plants in this way drips to the ground, adding additional water over and above the water supplied by rainfall. Prior observations show that the amount of cloud water intercepted by vegetation is substantial, but also quite variable from place to place. It is, therefore, important to create a map for the complex spatial patterns of cloud water interception (CWI) in Hawai‘i. In this project, we propose to create the CWI map at 0.8-km resolution based on the 20-year present-day climate simulations using the Hawai’i Regional Climate Model (HRCM) equipped with a well-tested fog deposition scheme. The map will be verified against measurements at five representative observational sites across the Hawaiian Islands. We will also assess the projected changes in the CWI patterns in Hawai’i by the later 21st century under both weak and strong global warming scenarios.",

- "description": "
The Rapid Ecoregional Assessments (REAs) were launched in 2010 to help improve the understanding of existing condition for ecoregions and how conditions may be altered by ongoing environmental changes and land use. They do not allocate resource uses or make management decisions. They provide science-based information and tools for land managers and stakeholders to consider in subsequent resource planning and decision making processes. REAs examine ecological values, conditions, and trends within large, connected areas that have similar environmental characteristics in order to capitalize on efficiency of scale. REAs provide context to make site-specific decisions and conduct analyses for resource management plans and National Environmental Policy Act processes. The REAs seek to identify important resource values and patterns of environmental change that may not be evident when managing smaller, local land areas.

This report contains Appendix H for the Middle Rockies Rapid Ecoregional Assessment providing NatureServe Climate Change Vulnerability Indices (NSCCVI) for the ecoregion.

Contact: BLM_OC_REA_Data_Portal_Feedback_Team@blm.gov
",

- "description": "A. SUMMARY\nThe Municipal Natural Gas Equipment Inventory serves to catalog natural gas-fueled equipment used in municipally owned buildings. \nThis inventory, implemented by the SF Environment Department, aims to establish an understanding of the scope of work needed to electrify municipal buildings and inform an effective and collaborative planning process.\nThis effort was identified as an action in Section BO-2.4 of the 2021 Climate Action Plan and is included in the Environment Code Chapter 7 (Municipal Green Building Requirements). \n\nB. HOW THE DATASET IS CREATED\nThe list of buildings required to report data for the Municipal Natural Gas Equipment Inventory was compiled by cross-referencing the City’s Facility Systems of Record and the 2020 municipal benchmarking report to identify all city-owned buildings with non-zero carbon emissions. Numerous municipal buildings are exempt from these reporting requirements, including facilities of the Port of San Francisco and buildings with a primary purpose of providing collection, storage, treatment, delivery, distribution, and/or transmission of water, wastewater, and/or power utilities. \nEach department received an inventory template, provided by the Environment Department, to submit high level building data and detailed information on each piece of natural gas equipment in use in these buildings. Departments were asked to self-report the required building and equipment data over the course of a 6-month data collection period in 2023 and are asked to keep this inventory up to date in the following years as equipment is replaced. \n\nC. UPDATE PROCESS\nThe inventory will be regularly updated by department representatives via the inventory PowerApp. When a gas-powered equipment item is retired or replaced, departments are asked to mark it as no longer in use and provide information on any electric replacement equipment, if applicable. While departments have the flexibility to update the inventory at any time, they are encouraged to do so at 6 month intervals at the minimum. \n\nUpdated inventory data will be automatically reflected in this dataset. \n\nD. HOW TO USE THIS DATASET\nIt is important to note that this dataset does not include facilities of the Port of San Francisco and buildings with a primary purpose of providing collection, storage, treatment, delivery, distribution, and/or transmission of water, wastewater, and/or power utilities, in accordance with Environment Code Chapter 7 exemptions.",

- "description": "The San Francisco Department of Public Health Flood Health Vulnerability Index is a composite index that measures the spatial distribution and relative vulnerability of San Francisco communities to the health impacts of flood inundation and extreme storms. The index is constructed using socioeconomic and demographic, exposure, health, and housing indicators and is intended to serve as a planning tool for health and climate adaptation. Steps for calculating the index can be found in in the \"An Assessment of San Francisco’s Vulnerability to Flooding & Extreme Storms\" located at here.\n\nData dictionary can be found in the attachments section of the metadata.",

They do not allocate resource uses or make management decisions. They provide science-based information and tools for land managers and stakeholders to consider in subsequent resource planning and decision making processes. REAs examine ecological values, conditio
